One thing that has emerged over the past week of the Olympic is the unabashed pride in Canada, and of being Canadian, Canadians are showing to the world. Canadians are literally wrapping themselves in the "Maple Leaf." By the thousand Canadians of all ages are publicly waving our flag and singing our national anthem; historically it’s almost un-Canadian.

Our relationship with our neighbours to the south, who are fiercely patriotic, is a very special one. Sure we have our good days and our not so good days, just like all neighbours do, but collectively we live in a really good neighbourhood don’t we.
